Currently, I have put together groups and group chats of about 90 that speak to, educate, support, and empower individuals around the topic of depression, while also promoting educational health and healing on the Instagram page @legaseinc
I want to work with like minded businesses/individuals to create a powerful effect now, and for generations to come. I would love the opportunity to collaborate and start webinars + live sessions that will ultimately bring businesses together, promote, and help individuals make better choices by/with understanding. I also believe this will drive a value based healthcare system, ultimately lowering healthcare costs.
It takes about 30 days to make or break a habit. Generally if someone is a healthy individual with good coping methods to stress they are typically not making ill decisions or becoming addicted to substances, harming their bodies etc. Medications mask feelings and hide the problem instead of actually dealing with it. Let’s get to the root of the problem!!
Is it really all in our mind? Have you ever considered evaluating the source of diseases?
Do people really just pop up with a disease because their body has decided to go haywire for an unknown cause? In doing research, disease may be caused by a number of factors; however, some of the main reasons may be due to poor emotional health development, ineffective coping methods to stress and/or poor diet.
I believe “its all in our mind.” In short how a person copes with stress and trauma, what triggers it, emotions/feelings, perceptions etc starts in the mind, and it is all connected. Each emotion is linked to a certain organ, each organ is primarily connected to a disease. Emotions coupled with stress can affect a person physically, their behaviors, and how they take care of themselves. Ie: anxiety/nervousness before a presentation resulting in diarrhea + sweaty palms, or being stressed then catching a cold. The mind/body connection is real.
Each time you have a thought, your body makes a chemical to help you feel the way you’re thinking. Emotional suppression is the tendency to hide or stop emotional expression; however unexpressed emotions never die and often they show up as physical ailments due to a lack of flowing energy.
The type of thought pattern a person continually has, leads to an emotion being expressed; an emotion will eventually present a physical state. Negative or positive. If the emotion goes unexpressed, it will eventually manifest somehow. Its like having a hose & plugging the end, yet leaving the water running. Eventually that water is gonna come out somehow, somewhere.
Just as our physical health is important, our mental + emotional/spiritual health is important as well, as it plays a vital role in physical health. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. What if we change the way we looked at healthcare. Medical doctors treat a patient for how an illness affects a person physically, but healthcare needs to be looked at from both perspectives. WHY are these things happening, and HOW do we treat it? They have the “how” covered.
Medicine is man-made. Although medication has evolved, and helped tremendously over the years, with medication there is a need to continue to go back for it. If there is nothing physical without it first beginning as thought(to understand) & e[nergy]motion maybe we can catch a problem before it evolves.
This is not the crash of the medical field. It is simply the innovation of healthcare. This is medical/psychology becoming more of a team to provide care and regulate total body health. “How you gon win, when you aint right within?”
My vision and hope is to
1. Bring attention to healthcare/mental/spiritual/physical health
2. Promote health and healing through. understanding
3. Become a health psychologist, work with the community, schools + hospitals to set up clinical trials for further accuracy + a health education program to help educate our community about the mind/body connection, as well as set up seminars/conferences to bring like minded businesses/individuals together.
