The Challenge

When kids can’t name it,
they can’t tame it.

Elementary school is the critical window for emotional regulation development. Ages 7–10 are when the prefrontal cortex is actively building its connections to the emotional brain — but only with practice, language, and body awareness.

Without tools, children experience the full intensity of their feelings with no map. The meltdown, the shutdown, the lashing out — these aren’t behavioral problems. They’re nervous system signals with nowhere to go.

The LegaSE™ Elementary Console gives kids the vocabulary, the body map, and the skills to respond rather than react — and gives adults the framework to understand what they’re seeing.

Inside the Console

A full interactive toolkit,
built for this exact moment.

Every tool is designed around how an elementary-age nervous system actually works. Subscribers get immediate access to the full console.

What’s Inside

Every tool your child’s nervous
system actually needs.

10 evidence-based modules, all in one place. Designed to be used independently or with a parent, teacher, or practitioner.

Zones of Regulation

Interactive 4-zone framework with clickable emotion sorting, body signal descriptions, and tiered regulation strategies per zone.

Emotion → Body Map

12 emotions mapped to body signals and nervous system states — with zone color coding so kids can connect what they feel to where they are.

Feelings Thermometer

An interactive 1–10 intensity slider that shifts color, names the zone, and suggests regulation strategies matching the current intensity level.

Check-In
Members

Breathing Buddy

An animated breathing circle using the 4-2-6 pattern — inhale 4, hold 2, exhale 6. Extended exhale activates the body’s natural calming response.

5-4-3-2-1 Grounding

A step-by-step sensory grounding walkthrough using all 5 senses to return to the present moment — with progress tracking and completion affirmation.

Zone Sorter Game

A 10-question quiz drawn from a 20-emotion bank — kids sort feelings into the correct zone with instant feedback and a running score.

Who It’s For

Built for anyone who works
alongside children ages 7–10.

Parents

Navigate big reactions at home with a shared language and real tools — not just telling kids to “calm down.”

Classroom Teachers

A ready-to-use regulation resource aligned with the Zones of Regulation framework already used in most elementary schools.

School Counselors

Supplement individual and group sessions with an interactive tool that reinforces zone awareness and body-based coping skills.

Somatic Practitioners

Common Questions

Before you subscribe.

What age is this console designed for?

The Elementary Console is designed specifically for children ages 7–10, aligned with the developmental stage when emotional vocabulary, interoception, and self-regulation skills are most actively forming. Content, language, and interactions are calibrated for this window.

What framework does it use?

The console is built on the Zones of Regulation framework (Leah Kuypers), CASEL social-emotional learning principles, somatic and nervous system science including polyvagal-informed practices, and trauma-informed approaches. All content is practitioner-reviewed and grounded in current research.

Does a child use this alone or with an adult?

Both. The console is designed for independent use by children and for shared use with a parent, teacher, or practitioner. The embedded Practitioner Notes give adults the context they need to use the tool effectively alongside a child. Co-regulation is explicitly named as the most powerful tool at this age.

What’s the difference between this and a worksheet?

The console is fully interactive — games, animated breathing, step-by-step grounding, clickable emotion maps — not passive reading. Research shows that interactive, embodied practice builds regulation skills faster than written reflection alone, particularly in the 7–10 age range.
